Inside; Man airlifted after ATV accident in Bourne

DENNISPORT
- About 11:30 p.m. Saturday, a 2003 Jaguar Xtype traveling south on Depot Street apparently went out of control, crossed  the center line and left the east side of the roadway. The vehicle went down an embankment and slammed into some pine trees on the passenger side of the vehicle about 300 yards south of Mild Bay Circle in the area of 510 Depot Street, Dennisport.

In a statement released early Sunday morning, Dennis Police report that the vehicle operator, Michael Desimone, 23, of Chatham, was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
 
The area of Depot Street where the accident occurred was closed for approximately 3 hours. The crash remains under investigation by Officer John Peters of the Dennis Police Department and members of the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Accident Reconstruction Unit. These officers were assisted by the Barnstable County Sheriffs Office - Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Man airlifted after ATV accident in Bourne


BOURNE 
- A man was seriously injured in an all terrain vehicle (ATV) accident which happened in a sandpit off the Scenic Highway by Edge Hill Road about 4:55 p.m. The victim reportedly suffered multiple injuries and was flown by MedFlight helicopter to a Rhode Island hospital. The Massachusetts Environmental Police are investigating the crash. Further details were not immediately available.

Car vs building in Falmouth
FALMOUTH - A car struck a building on Teaticket Highway (Route 28) in Falmouth about 10:15 a.m. Sunday. A building inspector was requested to check the extent of damage at the Teaticket Markert which was described by officials as moderate. The driver of the pickup truck that struck the building, reportedly an 82-year-old man was not injured. He reportedly told police his foot slipped off the brake while trying to park. No charges have been filed.
