TD Bank robbed in Sandwich

SANDWICH - Another TD Bank branch has been robbed on the Cape. About 2:30 p.m. someone held up the branch on Route 6A in Sandwich -- right next door to the Sandwich Police station.
Sandwich Police along with county, state and federal agents were on the scene for a couple of hours during which time the bank was closed.
In a press release Tuesday evening, Sandwich Police tell CWN a masked man entered the bank and fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. Police added no weapon was shown. Anyone with information is urged to contact Sandwich Police at (508) 888-3343.
Sandwich Police would not comment if they think the man may be the same "hoodie bandit" who hit The TD Bank in Dennis on February 2nd (click and scroll down) and the Osterville branch which was robbed twice in January (click and scroll down). In those robberies survelilance video (right) caught a man wearing a hoodie backwards with holes cut out for his eyes crowned with a stocking hat.

Yarmouth Police Investigate Suspicious Weekend Stabbing
YARMOUTH - On Friday, February 12, 2010 at 8:40 p.m., the Yarmouth Police Department was notified by Cape Cod Hospital emergency room staff that a male had been stabbed in Yarmouth and brought in to the hospital by friends.
Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer Michael Zontini, K9 Patrol Officer Marc Thibeault, and Patrol Sergeant Frank Hennessey arrived at Cape Cod Hospital and began an investigation which indicates that a 23-year-old South Dennis man was stabbed somewhere in Yarmouth, possibly on Higgins Crowell Road in West Yarmouth.
The Yarmouth Police or Fire Departments were not contacted by the victim or his friends and we have received conflicting accounts as to what exactly occurred from the victim as well as his friends. The stabbing is believed to involve illegal drug use and distribution.
The victim is currently a patient at Cape Cod Hospital recovering from surgery that repaired a deep laceration to his lower left abdomen and he is expected to fully recover.
Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Investigator Matt Smith provided evidence collection services at Cape Cod Hospital and Yarmouth Police Detective Christopher A. Kent is actively conducting a follow-up investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Kent at (508) 775-0445 extension 2125 or ckent@yarmouth.ma.us

Morning snow makes for slippery roads
CAPE COD - A period of snow early Tuesday morning made for some slick going for the commute. Several spin outs were reported. In Bourne, a vehicle went over the guardrail on Route 28A and rolled over down an embankment and into some trees. Incredibly, the driver was able to get out of the vehicle on his own and did not appear to be seriously injured.
The snow was transitioning to rain across the Cape and by later in the morning roads were wet, like here in Centerville (right). The only snow to contend with was the high mountains from the previous storm in parking lots. The rain could change back to snow before ending this evening.
