Top story: Three alarm fire and HazMat in Yarmouth Team coverage by Kevin Morley/CWN and Matt Pitta/WXTK An agricultural building burns in a Yarmouth cranberry bog.
YARMOUTH - Around 11:30 a.m. Friday firefighters from several Cape towns responded to a three-alarm fire in an agricultural storage building in the cranberry bogs off Knob Hill Road in Yarmouth.
The fire was extinguished but the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Hazardous Materials Response Team was on scene where crews were dealing with fertilizer and other unknown substances.
Crews are expected to be working the incident for an extended period of time.
Residents in the area were being told by reverse 911 to stay in their homes for a time as a precaution.
A decontamination area was set up.
Eight firefighters were taken to Cape Cod Hospital by ambulance as a precaution for evaluation. About two dozen others were being transported by bus to the hospital just to be checked out.Those firefighters are seen returning to the scene in their white decon suits.
Investigators are looking at a battery pack for a cordless drill that was being recharged as a cause of the fire.

Car vs Harwichport House of Pizza A passenger gathers paperwork for a police officer after a station wagon struck the Harwichport House of Pizza. HARWICHPORT - Another driver plows into a building. Friday around 1:30 p.m., a 66 year-old woman driving a Subaru Outback station wagon apparently mistook the gas for the brake and hit the Harwichport House of Pizza building on Route 28 next to the Saquatucket Harbor parking lot.
A male passenger can be seen at right gathering paperwork as Harwich Police standby.
The woman was treated at the scene by the Harwich Fire and Rescue and refused transport to Cape Cod Hospital.
A building inspector was called to check the integrity of the building.
Harwich Police are investigating the crash.

Single vehicle crash in Osterville
OSTERVILLE - One person was taken to Cape Cod Hospital after a bizarre crash in Osterville. A Hyundai Entourage van apparently went out of control on Route 28 near Osterville/West Barnstable Road. The van reportedly took down part of a fence before it spun around, digging a rut and tearing the right front wheel off. Barnstable Police are investigating. Photo by Frank Paparo/CWN
Laundry gets a little too hot in Hyannis HYANNIS - A load of laundry got a little too hot Friday morning.
A Barnstable Police officer noticed the fire outside a commercial linen service on Baxter Street.
Hyannis firefighters were able to quickly douse the pile of clothes.

Overnight stabbing in Hyannis HYANNIS - Barnstable Police are investigating a reported stabbing outside the Quarterdeck Lounge on Iyannough Road Route 28 overnight. The victim was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Further details were not immediately available.
Dennis Police auction for found and unclaimed property SOUTH DENNIS - The Dennis Police Department will be holding an auction of found and unclaimed property on Saturday morning July 11, 2009, at 10:00 a.m.
The auction will take place inside the town facilities maintenance building adjacent to the former Dennis DPW building located at 30 Bob Crowell Rd. in South Dennis.
Some of the items being auctioned in addition to unclaimed bicycles are personal and construction tools, electronics, kayaks, luggage, jewelry and CDs.
All items may be viewed one hour prior to the auction. All are welcome to attend.
