Two teens injured in Jet-Ski accident in Mashpee
MASHPEE - Two teens were seriously injured in a Jet-Ski accident in Mashpee. Two Jet-Skis apparently crashed into each other shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Mashpee-Wakeby Pond. The victims were picked up by a passing boat and brought into the State boat ramp off Route 130.

The most seriously injured, a 18-year-old reportedly suffering from multiple injuries, was then taken to Mashpee Fire Headquarters and MedFlighted to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. 

The second victim, reported to be a 15-year-old was taken to Falmouth Hospital.

Gosnold factility evacuated again after smoke odor
CATAUMET - A Gosnold of Cape Cod facility at 1140 Route 28A was evacuated again after an odor of smoke was detected. One side of the facility was heavily damaged in a fire on June 8th. Four days later the undamaged side was cleared after smoke from an apparent malfunctioning air condition unit was detected. About 9:30 p.m. this evening the substance abuse treatment facility was cleared again when smoke was reported. Firefighters could not pinpoint the cause of this latest problem.

Man injured in fall from roof
HARWICH - A man was taken to Cape Cod Hospital after falling from a roof in Harwich. Rescuers responded to the scene on Randolph Lane shortly before 5:30 p.m. The victim was reportedly conscious and was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Pedestrian struck by car in Orleans
ORLEANS - A pedestrian was struck by a car in Orleans Thursday afternoon. It happened near by Joe's Bar and Grill at Beach Road and Mill Lane. The victim was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries. Orleans Police are investigating

Fire damages Orleans mattress store
ORLEANS - A fire damaged the Mattress World store in Orleans Thursday afternoon. Several towns responded mutual aid to the scene after smoke was reported in the story. No injuries were reported. Further details were not immediately available.

Police surround Hyannis house looking for wanted person

HYANNIS 
- Barnstable Police surround a house on Hiramar Road Thursday morning. Police tell CWN they were searching for a wanted man who had reportedly made threats not to be taken alive. After checking the house and another location the suspect was nowhere to be found. It was not immediately clear what the man was wanted for but this is believed to be the same
duplex that was firebombed in April of 2008 in an apparently unrelated incident.

Child freed from home in Hyannis

HYANNIS
- Hyannis firefighters came to the rescue after a small child somehow became trapped in a home Thursday afternoon. Crews responded to the scene here on Baxter Avenue. The child was not injured. Further details were not immediately available.

Two vehicle crash in Hyannis
HYANNIS - Barnstable Police are investigating a two vehicle crash in Hyannis Thursday afternoon.

A Saturn sedan and a Toyota Corolla collided at the intersection of North Street and Bassett Lane around 11 a.m.

One person was briefly trapped in the wreckage but no injuries were reported.

Traffic was snarled in the area until the vehicles were towed.

Man falls off trike, strikes head


DENNISPORT
– Around 12:50 p.m. an older man fell off his adult tricycle and struck his head on the road as he crossing Division Street on the Dennis-Harwich line at Hall Street in Dennis and Willow Street in Harwich.

Dennis and Harwich ambulances were dispatched to the area while there was some confusion about whether there were two incidents on Division Street.

The man was transported to Cape Cod Hospital by Dennis Rescue with unknown but not life-threatening injuries.

Man charged with rape in Hyannis
HYANNIS 
- Barnstable Police arrested a Hyannis man, accusing him of raping two young girls in a home where he was renting.

40-year-old Richard "Ritchie" Cura was arrested at a motel in Yarmouth.

Cura was charged with three counts of rape of a child with force; two counts of indecent assault and battery of a person under 14; two counts of enticement of a child under 16; two counts of assault and battery; and two counts of indecent exposure

Yarmouth man killed in I-495 crash
MARLBOROUGH - A South Yarmouth man was killed in a crash in I-495 in Marlborough Wednesday. State Police say 46-year-old Stuart Baird was driving a Ford Ranger pickup, trying to pass a car driven by 21-year-Jorge Santiago of Hudson on the northbound side when the two vehicles made contact. The vehicles went into the median strip. Baird was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. State Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
