Woman overcome, injured at dune shack in Provincetown PROVINCETOWN - A woman was reportedly overcome by propane fumes at one of the Peaked Hill dune shacks that dot the National Seashore landscape.
According to reports the woman fell after passing out and sustained a head injury.
She was driven by a companion in a Jeep back to Route 6 where paramedics were waiting around 9:15 p.m.
An ambulance then transported her to Cape Cod Hospital with unknown but apparently non-life threatening injuries.

Centerville woman held on child rape charges SOUTH DENNIS - A Dennis Police Department press release on Friday evening reports that a cooperative investigation by the Dennis Police Department and the Children’s Cove resulted in the arrest of Carolyn A. Pierce, 26, of Centerville, MA. Pierce is being charged with 7 counts of Rape of a Child by Force and 7 counts of Indecent Assault and Battery on a Child under 14. The assaults occurred over the past two weeks while Pierce was acting in a caretaking capacity for the victim. Pierce is being held without bail at the Barnstable County House of Corrections in Bourne until her arraignment at the 2nd District Court in Orleans on Monday morning.
Old Navy evacuated after smoke scare BARNSTABLE - The Old Navy store in the Southwinds Plaza on Independence Drive was evacuated for a time after a smoke scare.
Employees reported smoke coming from the air conditioning vents in the store and cleared shoppers out. The adjacent A.C. Moore store was also evacuated.
Barnstable Fire responded and determined there was a problem with a rooftop vent. No injuries were reported and the store reopened after the defective unit was shut down.

Crash reported on Route 6A in Yarmouthport YARMOUTHPORT - A crash on Route 6A near Strawberry Lane around 4:45 p.m. shutdown the road for a time during the evening commute. Yarmouth Police are investigating the crash. Further details were not immediately available.
Minor injuries in Bourne crash A mother and daughter escaped seriosu injury after this BMW collided with a box truck in Bourne Friday. POCASSET - Air bags may have prevented serious injuries in a collision in Pocasset Friday afternoon.
A BMW was apparently trying to turn from MacArthur Boulevard (Route 28) onto Barlows Landing Road around 2:15 p.m. when it collided with a Mattress World box truck.
A mother and daughter in the BMW were taken to Falmouth Hospital for evaluation.
The truck driver was not hurt.
Bourne Police are investigating and believe speed was a factor.

Bourne scooter crash victim dies BUZZARDS BAY - The man who was struck on his scooter at the West End Rotary in Buzzards Bay on June 11th, has succumbed to his injuries. 52-year old Kevin T. Barclay of Duxbury was taken to Tobey Hospital after the crash and then driven to Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston after bad weather grounded MedFlight helicopters. Bourne Police learned of Barclay's death Thursday and say the driver of the car 53-year-old Heather MacDonald of West Dennis, who allegedly failed to yield entering the rotary, will face charges of motor vehicle homicide, operating negligently to endanger, and failing to yield.
