March 18, 2013 (HYANNIS) _ Hyannis firefighters were kept busy with two fires this morning that broke out on the same street within an hour of each other.

The first was in a vacant duplex at 14 Hiramar Road.

Heavy smoke was showing when crews arrived just before 4 a-m and flames were coming through the attic.

While firefighters were battling that blaze – another fire was discovered in a car that was parked up against another home on Hiramar Road near the intersection with Route 28.

Both fires were out within an hour.

The state fire marshal has been called in to investigate.
