Continuing CWN Storm Team coverage of the coastal storm
CAPE COD - Watch here for updates as the major coastal storm hangs around for another day (for yesterday's coverage including a dramatic rescue in Wellfleet click here).
3:00 p.m. update: No devastating coastal flooding was reported but a couple of homes in Sandwich were surrounded by water. The cottages in Chatham also took a beating but appeared to have survived. Numerous waterfront roads were closed due to standing water. At this hour as the storm appears to finally be winding down, NSTAR reports only isolated outages. CWN's Kevin Morley shows us the view of Cape Cod Bay from Nobscusset Heights in Dennis:

9:00 a.m. update: So far no reports of major flooding have come in from Sandwich. WXTK's David Beatty reported the boardwalk was flooded again for the second day in a row. NSTAR reports about 150 customers out in Falmouth with slightly over 100 in Sandwich. The storm has created an awesome display of Mother Nature along the Outer Cape ocean beaches. The large wave above was captured at Head of the Meadow in Truro. Just a few miles south the ocean breached for the second day in a row at Balston Beach. Check out this dramatic video:
6:00 a.m. update: 129 NSTAR customers without power in Sandwich where this image from a Mass DOT webcam at the rest area near exit 2 confirms earlier reports of snow on the upper Cape. Sandwich is now bracing for the incoming tide. The rain/snow line appears to be around the Dennis area with the outer Cape getting mostly sleet and rain but there are slippery spots especially on untreated surfaces. Allow plenty of extra time to get to work or school.
2:00 a.m. update: Sandwich Police report roads snow covered and slippery.
12:00 a.m. update: Thursday was a dramatic day with two people rescued from a flooded car in Wellfleet, while significant coastal flooding occurred in many areas. Flooding this morning is feared to be even worse especially in the Sandwich area. CWN will be closely monitoring the situation through the morning. At this hour NSTAR reports 64 of the 65 customers in the dark are in Yarmouth. Peak wind gusts of 61 MPH in East Falmouth, 58 in Barnstable and 56 in Provincetown.
