Eastham selectmen pushing previously rejected water plan

March 4, 2013 (EASTHAM) _ Undeterred by the rejection of a $111 million municipal water system more than a year ago – Eastham selectmen are trying again.

They’ll ask town meeting voters this spring to approve the same massive project that has already been turned back by residents.

The board is taking part in a public forum Monday night with State Representative Sarah Peake and Cape and Islands State Senator Dan Wolf to talk about the plan.

The cost of the project was a key reason voters rejected the idea in the past.

Monday night's forum takes place at 6 p-m at the Eastham Four Points Sheraton.
