February 20, 2013 (NANTUCKET) _ A Nantucket business owner pleads guilty to charges he failed to accurately report his total payroll and total number of workers.
Attorney General Martha Coakley says James Lyndon, 63, also misclassified his business to avoid paying thousands of dollars in insurance premiums.
Lyndon is the owner of a roofing and siding company based on Nantucket.
Coakley says premium avoidance is a serious crime that undermines the insurance system.
Lyndon entered the plea in suffolk superior court last week. He'll serve two years probation and will pay $42,000 in restitution.
