January 23, 2013 (DENNIS) _ Dennis selectmen began several weeks of budget hearings Tuesday night for the proposed fiscal year 2014 spending plan. 

The first was an overview of the budget from Town Administrator Richard White and recommendations from the capital committee.

White says the $29.5 million budget is balanced and lives within the structure of Proposition 2 1/2.

He calls the spending plan “restrained” and “slightly below modest.”

Specific department budgets will be reviewed on January 29^th and February 5^th and 7^th.
