January 23, 2013 (PLYMOUTH) _ The Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant in Plymouth returned to service late Wednesday morning.
A statement from plant owner Entergy says Pilgrim was reconnected to the electric grid just before 11:30 a.m.
It was manually shut down on Monday to investigate what was described as a minor leak associated with a pilot valve on one of the plant’s four safety relief valves.
Plant technicians replaced the pilot valve and operators began the process of restarting pilgrim early Wednesday.
