January 15, 2013 (HYANNIS) _ Congressman William Keating and two of his colleagues are accusing congressional Republicans of cutting a lifeline for New England fishermen.

Keating says GOP members in the U-S House rejected all amendments to a Hurricane Sandy bill that would have provided $150 million for fishermen.

The Cape’s representative was joined by Congressmen Ed Markey and John Tierney in admonishing Republicans – saying they should “be ashamed of themselves.”

Three separate amendments would have restored funding for fishermen who have had disasters delared in New Eengland.
