January 8, 2013 (HARWICH PORT) _ A Brockton man who was allegedly walking around the Shaw’s Supermarket parking lot in Harwich Port with a handgun Saturday night is facing charges.

Police responded to the scene just before 9 p-m when the suspect’s girlfriend called 9-1-1.

James Aylward, 51, was located on Sisson Road – and arrested and charged with carrying a firearm without a license.

A search of the area found a gym bag with a loaded .380 caliber handgun.
