December 4, 2012 (TRURO) _ Truro selectmen will continue their discussion Tuesday night about whether to put lifeguards at Ballston Beach next summer. It follows a great white shark attack on a Colorado man who was swimming far off-shore last July. While there are no guards at Ballston – the town does staff Coast Guard and Head of the Meadow. The new lifeguards would cost about $30,000 for the summer – and could be paid for by beach stickers. Truro selectmen meet ata 6 p-m in town hall.
