November 15, 2012 (MARSTONS MILLS) _ Two Marstons Mills women are accused of running a marijuana-growing operation inside their home.

Barnstable police say the two converted a downstairs bathroom into a “grow room” that contained specialized equipment for cultivating the drug.

Karen Massoni, 62, and Tamlyn Mansfield, 59, were arrested and charged yesterday with numerous weapons and drug violations.

Police executed a search warrant at the home following a monthlong investigation by narcotics detectives and the street crime unit.

They seized several weapons and about $5,000 in marijuana. Both women will be arraigned in Barnstable District Court.
