10:00 p.m. update: Two people escaped serious injury in a head-on crash on Crocker Road in Falmouth about 8:45 p.m. 626 NStar customers are without power, mostly in Chatham, Barnstable and Mashpee.
7:45 p.m. update: A large tree came down on Route 132 just north of the college entrance. The tree struck a passing car causing serious damage to the car but no injuries.

10:00 p.m. update: Two people escaped serious injury in a head-on crash on Crocker Road in Falmouth about 8:45 p.m. 626 NStar customers are without power, mostly in Chatham, Barnstable and Mashpee.

7:30 p.m. update: A broken pole in the 3000 block of Main Street (Route 6A) in Barnstable is causing traffic detours. Salt Pond Road in Chatham was closed due to flooding at high tide. NStar has 1399 customers without power, mostly in the "elbow" of the Cape.
6:15 p.m. update: A Cape Wide News reader sent in this video of boats being tossed around by the storm at MacMillan Wharf in Provincetown. NStar reports 1318 customers in the dark.
5:30 p.m. update: Wind gust to 76 MPH at buoy off Cuttyhunk SW of Falmouth. 66 MPH gust in Harwich. NStar making progress, now 424 customers in the dark.
4:15 p.m. update: Falmouth Fire reports a portion of Menaught Road near the beach overwashed. NStar now reporting 1133 customers without power
3 p.m. update: Wind gust to 62 MPH reported at the Buzzards Bay buoy. As of this hour NStar reports 205 customers without power in scattered outages across the Cape. As of 3:15 p.m. the total had jumped to 674 with more than half of those in Dennis.

New dramatic photos of Wellfleet blaze
WELLFLEET - Cape Wide News has received these dramatic photos of Monday evening's blaze at 11 Partridge Way in Wellfleet. The fire broke out in the rear of the house, which was under construction. Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the flames sparing the main house from significant damage. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation but Fire Chief Dan Silverman tells Cape Wide News it does not appear suspicious.

BREWSTER - Brewster Police report one arrest since their last report.
On October 31st at 5:57 p.m.
William R. Sears, 51, of Brewster was charged with
Operating under the influence of liquor (2nd offense)
Operating negligently to endanger
Marked lanes violation
Open container of alcohol in a vehicle
Breaking and entering into a vehicle in the daytime with intent to commit a felony
Larceny over $250

Outer Cape animal control seeks aid for Sandy animal victims
TRURO - The Truro and Wellfleet Animal Control is seeking donations for the animal victims of Hurricane Sandy. We all have seen the photos, heard the devastation that Hurricane Sandy has created for the residents of New York & New Jersey. Truro/Wellfleet Animal Control Officer Lorial Russell has set up an animal food/animal essentials (litter, leashes, carriers/crates, etc.) drive for anyone who wishes to donate anything to help the animals.
