Gov. Patrick affirms Cahoon as community college president

October 19, 2012 (WEST BARNSTABLE) _ Governor Deval Patrick has affirmed Ralph Cahoon as the chair of the Board of Trustees at Cape Cod Community College.

Under the governor’s new community college plan approved this year – he has the power to appoint the chair.

Cahoon was already serving as chairman at the school and will continue in that role.

Cahoon is a former Barnstable police officer and is currently a counselor at the Community Center of Cape Cod.

He’s also a graduate of the college.

College president Dr. John Cox says cahoon has been an asset since he took over at the school earlier this year.
