Sandwich holds open house to support public safety facility plan

October 19, 2012 (SANDWICH) _ The Sandwich police and fire departments are holding open houses tomorrow in an effort to show what they say are deteriorating conditions in both buildings.

The town is proposing a 56-thousand square foot joint public safety building at Quaker Meeting House and Cotuit Roads.

The plan would also include a new 85-hundred square foot fire and rescue sub-station at Route Six-a and Quaker Meeting House.

Public safety officials say the new facilities would improve the deliver of service of both the police and fire departments.

Saturday's open house runs from 10 a-m to noon.
