Car vs bicycle in Wellfleet
WELLFLEET - A man was injured after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle. It happened in Wellfleet around 1:30 p.m. in front of the Blackfish Variety on Route 6. The victim was put on a board and in a protective collar and taken to Cape Cod Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Subaru Outback 91-year old Karl Fehrle of Chatham, seen at far right speaking with a Wellfleet Police Officer, stayed at the scene. Police are continuing to investigate.

Wanted suspect taken down by K-9 at MMR Sunday night
MASSACHUSETTS MILITARY RESERVATION
- An intensive search by air and ground ended with the capture of a wanted man on the grounds of the Massachusetts Military Reservation Sunday evening. State Police confirm to Cape Wide News their units were involved in the search. A Cape Wide News reader reported seeing the MSP helicopter flying over the area. CWN has learned local K-9 units from Yarmouth and Barnstable were also involved in the search. The suspect was apprehended by one of the K-9 dogs. He was taken to Falmouth Hospital for treatment of a dog bite. Military officials have not confirmed what the suspect was wanted for.

Charity golf tournament Friday in memory of crash victim
FALMOUTH
The 1st Annual Tee Off Fore Tuna Golf Tournament will be held Friday at the Falmouth Country Club.

The event will raise money for schlorships in memory of Jamie Duffany. Duffany was killed in a violent crash during a freak snowstorm on October 30th, 2011 in Falmouth.

The Jamie Duffany 
Memorial Fund will benefit the Falmouth Youth Hockey League and provide financial support that will allow a child to learn and love the sport of hockey as much as Jamie did.
 
The tournament will tee off at 1 p.m. Friday in a 4 person scramble format. There will also be a dinner with raffle prizes along with silent and live auctions.
