September 7, 2012 (CAPE COD) Congressman William Keating survived a primary challenge yesterday from fellow Democrat Sam Sutter – the Bristol County district attorney.

Keating defeated Sutter by more than 9-thousand votes in the new district that runs from Fall River to Cape Cod.

The Republican race remains undecided – with fewer than 100 votes separating Adam Chaprales and Christopher Sheldon.

There was an upset in the second Barnstable state representative district – where longtime incumbent Demetrius Atsalis was defeated by fellow Democrat Brian Mannal.

Plymouth-Barnstable State Senator Therese Murray easily defeated Steven Michael Palmer in the Democratic primary.
