August 29, 2012 (HARWICH) _ The proposed Monomoy Regional High School building project gets approval from Harwich town meeting voters in an overwhelming 878-to-58 vote.
It was the second approval for the plan in as many nights.
Chatham town meeting okayed the building Monday night on a 552-to-166 vote.
The state is contributing nearly $30 million to the project. Harwich will be responsible for $25 million – while Chatham would owe $9.8 million.
Both towns need to give final approval to the project at the ballot box next week.
