Monomoy high school project faces first of two town meeting votes
August 27, 2012 (CHATHAM) _ The proposed Monomoy Regional High School building project faces two critical votes this week.
The first is tonight when Chatham town meeting voters will decide on the $65 million project.
The state is contributing nearly $30 million to the project.
Harwich will be responsible for $25 million – while Chatham would owe $9.8 million.
Harwich town meeting voters will decide on the project Tuesday night and both towns will have a final vote at the ballot box next month.
Monday night’s Chatham town meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Chatham High School.
