August 2, 2012 (MIDDLEBORO) _ State public health officials have raised Middleboro's risk level from mosquitoes carrying Eastern Equine Encephalitis.
It follows the return of test results Wednesday.
A pool of mosquitoes collected July 25 tested positive for Triple Ee, causing the state to raise the risk level and schedule more intense mosquito spraying.
Wareham, Halifax and Plympton now have their risk levels raised from low to moderate.
Health Commissioner John Auerbach says the concern over Triple E in southeastern Massachusetts remains high and will continue to be intensely monitored.
