July 6, 2012 (HARWICH) Three people were injured early this morning in a crash involving a car and tractor trailer at the Dennis/Harwich town line on Route 28.
            
The accident – at the intersection of Division Street – shut down the road in both directions for more than two hours.
            
The driver of the Pontiac – 30-year-old Shannon Mackie of Dennis – and her 13-year-old son were taken to Cape Cod Hospital.
            
A 34-year-old male passenger was also injured.
            
The driver of the truck – 56-year-old Norman Potter of Rhode Island was unhurt.
           
The initial investigation found that the Pontiac was heading east on Route 28 when it veered into the westbound lane.
