July 5, 2012 (NANTUCKET) Nantucket police teamed up with 10 state police troopers yesterday to make more than 40 arrests for both underage drinking and operating under the influence.            

Island officials requested the extra help following last year’s out-of-control party on Nobadeer Beach.

That gathering resulted in trash left all over the sand and rowdy behavior stretching into the early morning hours that disturbed neighbors.

All those arrested on the Fourth of July will be arraigned in Nantucket District Court.
