June 22, 2012 (CAPE COD) A New York man will face criminal charges in the death of his girlfriend who died in a Route 6 crash Memorial Day weekend.

The car was being driven by 22-year-old Marina Keegan’s boyfriend -- 22-year-old Michael Gocksch.       
     
State police filed charges of motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation and reckless driving this week against Gocksch.   
          
A clerk magistrate will decide if a complaint should be issued.           

Keegan had just graduated from Yale days before the crash and was on her way to the family vacation home in Wellfleet at the time of the crash..            

Keegan had just accepted a job at the New Yorker.
