6/14 (Hyannis) A West Yarmouth woman charged in connection with a fatal accident involving a bicyclist in Hyannis pleads not guilty in Barnstable District Court



June 14, 2012 (HYANNIS) A West Yarmouth woman charged in connection with a fatal accident involving a bicyclist in Hyannis pleads not guilty in Barnstable District Court.

Twenty-three-year old Angelica Barroso was arrested around 3:30 this morning in Falmouth after she allegedly left the scene of the accident in Hyannis an hour earlier.
           
Barnstable police responded to the intersection of Route 28 and Pitchers Way just after 2 a-m where they found a bicyclist who had been struck.
            
The unidentified person was pronounced dead a short time later at Cape Cod Hospital.            

About an hour later – Falmouth police spotted Barroso’s vehicle which had been described by witnesses. She told Falmouth police she hit something in Hyannis and kept driving.            

Barroso is being held on 25-hundred dollars cash bail.
