September 20, 2011 (BARNSTABLE) All 3 candidates in the precinct 3 primary election for Barnstable Town Council advance to the general election in November.

Two of the candidates tied and under the town charter none of the three are eliminated in the primary. Michael Hersey received 89 votes.

Incumbent Jim Munafo 52 and Ryan Richardson 52.

Nine percent of the voters in precinct 3 turned out.
