August 9, 2011 (SANDWICH) After a six month absence – some of Sandwich’s oldest records are back in Town Hall.
The recent preservation is the first step toward the ultimate preservation and restoration of a vast majority of the town’s archives.
Town Clerk Taylor White says the effort to preserve the documents began in June 2009 when voters approved 93-thousand dollars for the work.
An open house will be held at Sandwich Town Hall on August 16th from 4 to 6 p-m for residents to view the newly restored records.
