At least 300 people turned out to a summit on Saturday, regarding concerns about offshore wind projects.
The focus on the Vineyard Wind project, plus others, came out of some residents feeling their concerns about potential harm were not being addressed.
Subjects discussed included potential damage to the environment and drinking water from the projects, as well as the financial situation of the companies involved.
Local environmental groups also refuted a recent accusation they were being funded by the fossil fuel industry.
