Power Restored To Hundreds On Cape

The first winter storm of the season struck Cape Cod and the Islands with a mix of rain and snow, accompanied by heavy winds through Saturday and Sunday.

Near whiteout conditions were reported in some sections, particularly on the Outer Cape and Provincetown areas.

Approximately 12 hundred Eversource customers had lost electric service during the day on Sunday, but most power was restored later that afternoon.

Slippery and icy conditions are to be expected for the morning commute.
