A hate incident is under investigation at Sandwich Middle School.
Officials say a penciled swastika along with language termed, racist, homophobic, and antisemitic was reported on Wednesday.
District and school officials say they are taking the matter seriously and treat what they term "bias-motivated incidents" into teachable moments for students.
The school will also work with the Anti-Defamation League which will assist with peer training advisors to teach students how to recognize and deal with hate.
