Suspect Identified In Decade Old Murder Of West Tisbury Moderator

Law enforcement officials in California say they have identified the suspect believed to have shot and killed former West Tisbury Town Moderator Francis "Pat" Gregory ten years ago.

The 69-year-old Gregory was hiking on a remote trail in Tehama County when he and a companion were robbed at gunpoint and then shot.

Gregory died at the scene.

The county sheriff's office says the suspect, who would now be in his 80s has been located, and a warrant for his arrest is forthcoming.

Police are withholding further identification of that suspect.
