Falmouth voters approved design and engineering plans for a new wastewater system at Monday's special town meeting.
Supporters of the system said the installation was key to stopping the degradation of the Great Pond watershed.
Voters also passed another form of wastewater management: a urine diversion pilot program, which is designed to remove nitrogen from septic systems.
