Governor: No More Room For Migrants

The state has reached its self imposed limit of 75 hundred families in the emergency shelter system.

Officials say that beginning today, homeless families will be placed in temporary shelters only as units become available.

State law guarantees that unhoused families will be provided with shelter, but Governor Maura Healey says they must limit the number to 75 hundred.

State officials are projecting that 13 thousand families could need shelter in the state by next June.
