Wareham, State Police Make Drug Arrests

More than two ounces of cocaine are off the streets of Wareham thanks to a traffic stop.

A state trooper spotted a vehicle without an inspection sticker on Cranberry Highway late Sunday night and pulled it over.

When the troopers approached the car, they smelled pot and the driver, 19-year-old Emanuel Torres, appeared impaired.

He was found with crack in his pocket.

Two passengers were with Torres and searches of their person and the car uncovered powder cocaine, a digital scale, a big bag of cash and empty packaging materials.

Only one was arrested with Torres.
