The now-shuttered Christmas Tree Shops property in Orleans could be just the landing spot for another area business.
The owners of the nearby Baskin's Ace Hardware say they need room to expand and have already written the Chamber of Commerce expressing interest in moving to the larger space on South Orleans Road.
The idea seems to have the backing of the chamber's executive director, but the family of the Christmas Tree Shops' founders own the property and will have the ultimate say on the site's next tenant.
