A tractor-trailer that was hauling sand in Sandwich was involved in an accident on Route 6 Monday morning.Â
The Massachusetts State Police says sand and hydraulic fuel spilled onto the highway at around 7 a.m. and delayed traffic on the westbound side for several hours.Â
The driver was identified as Jeremy Tonucci of Brockton.Â
Authorities say Tonucci was not injured, but he was taken into custody for allegedly violating the Massachusetts sex offender registration law.
