Cape Cod Population Grows As State Population Falls

Even though the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a whole is continuing to see a mass exodus of residents, that's not the case on Cape Cod.

New U.S. Census Bureau stats show the state has lost about 110-thousand residents between 2020 and `22, while Barnstable County has gained more than 67-hundred residents.

The data also shows the county is skewing old with a median age of just under 54 years compared to an average of 39-point-six statewide.
