Police Close Investigation Into Threats At Former Oak Bluffs Official

The Oak Bluffs Police Department has not found any wrongdoing or identified any suspects in connection to allegations of death threats made against the town's former Health Agent.

Meegan Lancaster resigned from her position in February after she said she found bullet shells in a tote bag.

The Vineyard Gazette reports police have closed the investigation.

Lancaster played a prominent role in the Island's response to the Coronavirus pandemic and was also front-and-center on the debate over using artificial turf for an athletic field upgrade at Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.
