The Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich is seeking to use a former motel as a dormitory for employees.
The Cape Cod Chronicle reports the Harwich Zoning Board of Appeals approved a special permit and use variance last week for the Coachman Motor Lodge on Route 28.
Further approval will be required by the Town Planning Board.
The motel was purchased by the owner of the Wychmere last fall to address an urgent need for summer employee housing.
