Cape Cod Air Force Station Undergoes Name Change

Cape Cod Air Force Station is no more. You can now call the military base on the Upper Cape the Cape Cod Space Force Station.

The name change officially went into effect on Friday and Lt. Col. Tim “Skip” Sheehan says not to expect any spaceships to take off from there, as it’s just a name change.

Missile warning and defense services, along with space surveillance data and more, will be carried out at the station, according to the Department of Defense.
