Vineyard Septic Company In Trouble Again For Environmental Issues

A septic services business on Martha’s Vineyard is once-again in the news for allegedly violating environmental regulations.

Maciel and Sons of Tisbury has been ordered to remove tanker truck tanks that were illegally buried in Vineyard Haven and used for underground storage of septic material.

Martha's Vineyard health officials say the underground tanks are an environmental risk.

Earlier this spring, Maciel and Sons was hit with a fine and a license suspension for pumping waste back into a customer’s septic tank after a billing dispute.
