Cape Businesses May Require Masks Despite Lifted Mandate

Mask-wearing and other pandemic-related restrictions are being lifted in Massachusetts just in time for the summer tourist season on Cape Cod. 

However, many local businesses are not planning to act that quickly. 

State Senator Julian Cyr notes businesses can still require customers to cover their face, especially in small retail stores.

Cyr said Covid-19 vaccinations have allowed us to return to normal and that vaccinated people are very unlikely to transmit the disease.
