Another wind farm near the Vineyard is in the first phases of development; the 880 megawatt farm would be located 12 miles southwest of the island.
The MV Times reports the company, Revolution Wind, is currently entering the environmental impact statement phase; the Bureau of Ocean Management was notified of the preparations last week.
That publication of intent opens up a 30 day public comment period and the bureau will be holding three public sessions. More information can be found on the Bureau of Ocean Management’s website.
