Golden Elected To Provincetown Select Board

New Provincetown Select Board Member Elected

Provincetown held a special election Thursday to pick a new Select Board member. 

Two candidates, John Golden and Michela Carew-Murphy, were running to replace former Chairman Thomas Donegan, who resigned in December following a death in his family. 

Golden, a long-time member of the Provincetown Planning Board out distanced Carew-Murphy by a vote of 582 to 181 to win the seat.

The term only runs until the Spring elections at which time Golden plans to run for the seat again for a full term.
