C & I Asst. D.A. Awaits Fate on Misconduct Charge

A Massachusetts Supreme Court Justice is pondering the fate of a Cape and Islands District Attorney's office prosecutor who was accused of misconduct.  The state Board of Bar Overseers originally recommended Assistant District Attorney Laura Marshard receive a public reprimand for meeting with a witness in a case without his attorney, but a one-month suspension was then recommended after the board added that she misled a judge about the matter.  The witness incident was the only alleged misconduct case out of three that was upheld against Marshard.  The justice overseeing the case did not make an immediate ruling on Wednesday.
