A man suffered serious facial injuries Thursday afternoon when he was trapped under a boat.
The incident happened around 4:30 in the industrial park at 118 Thornton Drive in Barnstable.
The victim, a 35-year old male, was freed from the pinning by bystanders before paramedics arrived. A MedFlight helicopter was requested but later canceled due to weather. An ambulance came to the scene and took the man to the hospital.
The incident allegedly occurred when workers were trying to load a portion of the boat which was in two pieces from a trailer onto a flatbed truck when something went wrong.
