Keating Rips GOP Health Plan Passage in U.S. House

9TH District Congressman William Keating, who voted against the Republican healthcare plan known as TrumpCare, said 24 million Americans will lose their health insurance under the plan passed by the U.S. House on Thursday. He added that even those who don’t lose their insurance can expect to pay more for less coverage than under the Affordable Care Act.

Keating added older Americans can be charged five times more for their insurance premiums and women can be charged more simply for being a woman. The Congressman said coverage for opioid addiction treatment, maternity care, services for children and adults with disabilities are all out the window thanks to Republicans who forced the passage of the bill.
