Wellfleet Voters Opt for Bacon on the Board

There was a special election in Wellfleet Monday night for a seat on the Board of Selectmen.

Based on the results, you can now refer to it as the Board of Selectmen and women.

Kathleen Bacon defeated Thomas Flynn for the vacant seat, 440 votes to 186. The self-employed landscaper, housepainter, and caterer was elected to a 3-year term.

Wellfleet had several uncontested races. Town moderator Daniel Silverman was re-elected to a one-year term. School Committee members Martha Gordon and Morton Inger were re-elected to 3-year terms.

Christopher Easley will again serve a 3-year term on the Nauset Regional School Committee.
